Policy - PCF, UDR

Datatronics together with its partner Oracle Communications is offering a convergent policy management platform for 4G and 5G helping operators to manage heterogeneous networks and enabling interworking and migration between 4G and 5G.

PCF and UDR provide in real-time, full control over the consumption of network resources and allows the 5G network to support millions of devices maintaining the quality of service (QoS). Both NFs are designed and built as microservices on cloud-native principles.

PCF (Policy Control Function): Controls the network behavior providing policy rules to enforce Control Plane functions. Policy rules decision could be taken depending on the subscription information store in the UDR (User Data Repository).
